***Where we SHINE***
Dr. Martin SHINES in her extensive experience in autoimmune disease, thyroid conditions, inflammation processes and HORMONES specific to Peri-Menopause, PCOS and Irregular Cycles.
"The first day I met Dr. Martin, I left her office with a massive sense of optimism and relief. It was almost as if a huge weight was lifted, and I thought, I am finally going to get the help I've been needing and wanting for years."
Dr. Martin is a registered Naturopathic Doctor in the states of California and Colorado. She has been passionate about health, diet and exercise ever since she was a child and has worked in healthcare for over 15 years. Her mother had cancer and died of secondary heart failure over ten years after the diagnosis. As she watched that process happen she was exposed to the powers of western medicine, chemotherapy, radiation treatments and the miracles of naturopathic medicine, nutrient supplementation, exercise, macrobiotic diet, stress management and laugh therapy that extended her mothers life well beyond predictions. This had a huge impact on her life and created her desire to bridge the gap between eastern and western medicine. She was raised by her father, has travelled the world, worked a myriad of jobs and over the years with drive and enthusiasm became a doctor. Now as a woman, a mother, and a doctor working in a mans world she has created her ideal work environment at the Naturopathic Womens Wellness Center! The office environment is family friendly, professional, personal and allows her to do the two things she does best, optimize wellness in her patients and raise her family with love and attention. Dr. Martin schedules 60-90 minutes for each office visit to allow time to be thorough in health history, physical exam and get to know each patient on an individual basis. This time commitment and connection she believes is the power behind naturopathic medicine and what makes the difference in true healing. She plans to specify days of the month to be designated as “Pay It Forward” days where patients can seek medical care on a sliding scale basis in effort to make this medicine accessible to everyone. She is excellent at what she does, can offer the best of both worlds as a primary care naturopathic doctor and health consultant well versed in eastern and western medical processes and would love to share it with you!
In her practice, Dr. Martin provides comprehensive naturopathic medical care and individualized support that integrates the “western” MD perspective. She has close to 20 years experience working in health-care. Her training and exposure with NDs as well as MDs/DOs makes her unique in bridging the gap with both aspects of medicine. Her goals are to analyze and assess all sides of ones health including mental, emotional and the pathophysiological aspects in order to optimize health. Her philosophy is to prevent illness, discover imbalances within the body and rebuild the foundation to create health. This path is achieved through patient education, lifestyle changes, nutrition, counseling and a proper support network. Her skill base also uses food as medicine, botanicals, homeopathy, and manual therapy, as well as conventional treatments, lab work and imaging when needed. She takes a “first do no harm” approach to her medicine utilizing the most effective yet least invasive approach to optimize wellness.
Dr. Martin earned her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington after completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Pre-Med at the University of California at Santa Barbara. Prior to receiving her doctorate she worked in the physical therapy rehabilitation center for acute care at SM-UCLA medical center. She has a Massage Therapy license from The Swedish Institute in New York City and worked extensively with Dr. Gary Ostrow, DO in NYC in his pain management clinic.
As part of her post-graduate training, Dr. Martin completed several rigorous continuation courses in Biochemistry, Nutrition and Food Science in New York City. In Seattle, she trained in an extended pediatric preceptorship at The Kids Clinic with Dr. Carol Doroshow, MD, FAAP, as well as at The Bastyr Center for Natural Health (BCNH) in Advanced Gynecology, Diabetes and Endocrine dysfunction. She continued her Endocrinology work at BCNH specifically focusing on Autoimmune conditions and HIV.

Dr. Roland SHINES in laying the ground work for fertility, hormone balancing and empowering all women as they evolve through each stage of their lives. Focused family medicine to be your best self.
"I have been a patient of Dr Hillary Roland for years. She has changed my life for the better in so many ways. She is very warm, intelligent and intuitive. I plan on keeping her as my doctor for many many years to come!"
Dr. Hillary Roland is a registered Naturopathic Doctor who specializes in women’s health, pediatrics and family medicine. She seeks to support women during every stage in their lives in order to create a sense of deep wellbeing that empowers them to be their authentic and most inspired selves. As a doctor and a new mom, her clinical focus is on correcting female hormone imbalances, relieving pregnancy discomforts, and raising healthy happy kids. She combines the best of conventional and alternative approaches to provide her patients with the highest-quality care.
Dr. Roland has over 16 years experience in healthcare. She began her career as a medical interpreter helping Spanish-speaking patients navigate the traditional medical arena. After years of seeing doctors working with crippling time constraints, offering quick fixes for symptoms, and overuse of drugs to treat the side effects; she knew there had to be a better way. Inspired by her own success with alternative medicine to treat her irregular and debilitating menstrual cycles, she sought to find a more holistic and natural approach to medicine.
In 2005 she started the Naturopathic Medicine program at Bastyr University. In 2007 she added a second degree program and began training as a direct-entry midwife to broaden her education to include pregnancy, birth, post-partum and infant care. Dr. Roland graduated from Bastyr in 2010 with a degree in Naturopathic Medicine and a Certificate in Naturopathic Midwifery, then completed a yearlong clinical residency at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health. She also received advanced clinical training in gynecology, autoimmune disease, diabetes and heart disease. She completed a 2 year preceptorship at the Odessa Brown Pediatrics Clinic in Seattle WA, working alongside noted pediatrician Dr. Ben Danielson. Although she is no longer attending births, it is her belief that a healthy pregnancy, birth and early childhood lays the foundation for life-long wellness. She loves supporting women and children during this epic transformation.
In 2011 she moved to bay area and started an integrative pediatrics practice with Dr. Amy Maidenberg, became the children and women’s health expert at Walnut Creek Naturopathic and volunteered on the board for the San Francisco Fire Department’s Cancer Prevention Foundation. In 2016 life brought her back to Colorado to be closer to family and she is thrilled to join Dr. Hillary Martin as part of the team at Naturopathic Women’s Wellness.

Dr. Reinholtz SHINES in her unique experience working with the prevention and management of Type 1/2 diabetes, Hypoglycemia, Digestive disorders including reflux, celiac, SIBO and IBS.
“As someone who has experienced Dr. Katie's care, I can testify to her thorough and thoughtful engagement while working toward health. I have recommended her to many people. She is qualified to discern health concerns and work toward healing in a more natural way.”
Dr. Katie began her journey to Naturopathic medicine after being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in College. After struggling with how to manage her insulin and sugar levels effectively and with a myriad of digestive issues, she saw a functional medicine doctor who taught her how important nutrition, herbs and supplements can be in healing and supporting ones overall health. She also learned how important it is to take care of our mental health when dealing with any sort of illness—stress and how well we can cope with what life brings us is something she realized would be an important part of her daily practice and what she brings to others. After her experience with Functional medicine, Dr. Katie decided she wanted to follow her passion and learn to help others incorporate both conventional and alternative medicines into the management of chronic disease. This pursuit of balance between these two models of medicine brought her to Naturopathic medicine, a place where both can, and do, work together to bring about healing.
Dr. Katie graduated from the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) in 2010 where she completed three years of mentorship with Dr. Kimberly Windstar in women's health and endocrinology. Dr. Katie also completed preceptorships with Dr. Patrick Chapman focusing on Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes and a homeopathy certificate with the New England School of Homeopathy (NESH). She also worked at the Helfgott research institute throughout her time in school and continues to incorporate a lot of research background into her treatment decisions. After graduating in 2010 Dr. Katie moved to New York City where she had the privilege of working for The Lyn-Genet Plan as the nutrition director and guided clients with health issues through a personalized Anti-inflammatory diet program.
During her time with The Plan she saw clients lives and health shift dramatically just through changes in diet and it was inspiring to learn and see how much we can change through food alone. Dr. Katie also maintained private practices in New York City and Blacksburg, VA where she focused on primary care, PCOS, diabetes, thyroid disorders, mood disorders and detoxification support before life and family brought her to beautiful Boulder, CO.
Today Dr. Katie is thrilled to be joining Naturopathic Women’s Wellness and the community of amazing providers to help bring patients the best possible care. She offers 60-90 minute initial visits, a customized diabetes and blood sugar program and comprehensive follow-ups that allows her to spend the time necessary to give clients the attention they need.
Dr. Katie is registered by the state of Colorado as a Naturopathic Doctor and is an active member of the Colorado Naturopathic Doctors Association (CoAND). Dr. Katie was previously licensed in the state of Oregon and was a past member of the Oregon association of Naturopathic Physicians (OANP) and the AANP.
